Practical information, not personal advice
Guides support preparation and decision-making. Individual medical needs, workplace legal duties and regulated activities may require qualified advice. In emergencies, follow your emergency services and the appropriate UK public authority.
Feeds can be delayed or unavailable
Maps, alerts, observations and other external feeds are not exhaustive. A missing warning or failed source is not evidence that conditions are safe. Check the original publisher, especially for urgent decisions. See source status.
Downloads are dated snapshots
Offline HTML and downloaded PDFs may remain useful during an outage, but they cannot receive live warnings or update themselves. Their issue and guide-review dates are not the same as real-time verification. Re-download revised editions when connectivity returns.
Tools do not certify compliance
Assessments, worksheets and continuity plans are templates for local decisions. They do not establish ISO certification, insurance compliance or fulfilment of every employer or regulatory responsibility. Check current requirements for your organisation, sector and UK nation.
Sources and reviews are visible
GPN uses official sources where possible and separates link availability, last checked dates and editorial review. Software-assisted processing or summarisation can introduce mistakes; publication does not guarantee correctness. Inspect source governance.
