A useful preparedness view treats energy as a linked system: supply, demand, weather, generation, imports, networks and operating margin.
A single oil or gas headline is not a household outage forecast. The practical question is whether several linked pressures are tightening at the same time — supply, demand, weather, generation availability, imports and operating margin.
